TLDR: Blake Kelly, the man behind Unrestricted Isle Racing | Pit Stop: Amanda Brisebois of Black Widow Paint | Reviews for Riders: Yamaha PW50

Hey riders,

I spent the weekend at the AMA Vintage Motorcycle days event, and it reminded me of something that Jeff brought up in a recent story. We are all in this for the fun of it.

Watching kids ride past on two strokes and jump home made ramps, create mud puddles in the woods and race around trash barrels in the campground. We all became kids again, and adults were jumping in to play just the same.

So here is your reminder to be silly, to not take life too seriously and play around out there on your bike. Because at the end of all this, nobody gets out alive.

Cheers!

Blake Kelly, the man behind Unrestricted Isle Racing

Blake Kelly came to racing late, taught himself with what he calls a "YouTube degree," and now lives in a van with his girlfriend Rebecca to bankroll a run at the Manx GP, with the TT after that. We talked stories from the road covering his -12 degree snow ride over a closed mountain road and what "Unrestricted Isle" is really about. Read more…

Pit Stop: Amanda Brisebois from Black Widow Custom Paint

Amanda Brisebois paints the flames and skulls her Harley clients ask for, then goes home to a pink-and-purple zebra-striped Ducati Scrambler and a helmet like a fish head. The Ontario artist calls it "taking the badass out of riding," and she backed into the whole business by accident. We talked art school, a proposal that involved a set of shocks, and where she wants Black Widow to go next. Read more…

Reviews for Riders: Yamaha PW50

The Yamaha PW50 isn't a bike you buy for yourself, it's the one you buy so somebody else can start. Automatic, shaft-driven, and just about indestructible, the "PeeWee" has been turning kids into riders since 1981 and hasn't really changed since, on purpose. We get into why it's still the smartest first bike money can buy, and what to check before you hand over the cash for a used one. Read more…
